Minds Matter is a transformative program that inspires students by providing knowledge and skills necessary for unlocking their full potential and enhancing academic performance. Minds Matter was established in New York in 1991 by six Wall Street professionals to mentor and tutor inner-city high school students, as well as assist them with applications to competitive preparatory schools.
Today it has grown into an organization of 11 chapters across the country with Los Angeles being the seventh chapter established. Minds Matter is an award-winning nationwide mentoring program cultivating the life opportunities of high-potential, high school students from low income backgrounds. Since inception, 100% of Minds Matter alumni have matriculated to college; over 90% of tracked alumni receive that coveted college degree.

Learning Rights Law Center, founded in 2005, seeks to ensure that all students are provided with equitable access to the public education system and focuses on low-income students who have disabilities, face discrimination or are involved in the dependency or juvenile justice systems. The staff provides pro bono legal counsel and direct representation. Their TIGER Program offers free training for parents so they can learn to navigate the special education system and advocate for their own children.
