In Sub-Saharan Africa, child caregivers are commonly found to be the primary caregivers to a parent or parents facing serious, end-of-life issues such as HIV/AIds or cancer. The Road to Hope program was created as a resource for some child caregivers who could find themselves on a much different road were it not for the assistance provided by this program.

The Community Emergency response Team (CERT) program is a volunteer organization comprised of trained citizens who will help themselves and their neighbors during emergencies.
In my outreach efforts, I have been fortunate enough to be in contact with the Director of 2 orphanages in Uganda in need of our help. Henry Ssemaganda, is from Uganda,Masaka District,and in Kyannamukaaka sub county and in a village called Kitafaali. There he runs two much needed orphanages for 3012 children in his village.
